Oliverian recently lost a dear friend, Alex Townsend ‘08 (St. Louis, MO).  Alex joined Oliverian in their first year and graduated the School touching so many hearts along the way.  Alex’s parents, Jeanne and Tom Townsend, asked Greg Vogel and Barclay Mackinnon to speak at Alex’s service.  Here are Greg’s words on his experience with Alex:
Being [...]

Dominican Republic Trip Update-3

We started off the day by going to some amazing waterfalls.  We ended up hiking them with two guides, then sliding down them with a finale of a big jump into the water at the end.  The students really enjoyed themselves, and Hanni and Jazz seemed to be the two that really went out of [...]

INK, a Jamin Winans Film

A friend recently asked me if I could help him out with a special project. Intrigued, I told him I’d be happy to help. He asked if I could translate an urban-fantasy/sci-fi film, titled INK that he was a part of. They asked me to write-up the Spanish subtitles since it was going [...]

I don’t have a great memory. Many of my colleagues know that if I don’t write it down, it’s unlikely to happen. I have shared this with students as I work with them to stay organized and keep up with their schoolwork, betraying my own weaknesses by sharing the tools and techniques I use to [...]
