Learning at The Oliverian School extends well beyond the classroom and into all facets of student life on campus. Challenging core academic courses interspersed with electives classes occupy our students’ weekdays, while weeknights find them honing their time management skills to blend their study and free time. On any given evening, you may find students doing homework in study hall, catching up on their email in the library, exercising in the fitness center, playing foosball in the student center, or relaxing in their rooms. Although weekends provide a much more relaxed atmosphere, they are structured with diverse activities and offerings to keep our students engaged and inspired. Typical trips may include dinner and a movie in nearby Hanover, exploring American History in Boston, catching a Dartmouth College sporting event, skiing or snowboarding at Cannon Mountain, rock climbing in Rumney, or hiking the local Appalachian Trail.
With nearly all faculty members living on campus, students and faculty eat together, participate together in our daily community meeting, and jointly engage in other all-school activities. Our faculty to student ratio of 2:1 ensures that at any time of day or night, students are provided the individualized attention and support they need to learn, grow, and achieve success.
Cell phones and computers are welcome on campus and wireless Internet is provided in the Academic Building, Mackinnon Center, Townsend Library, and Art Studio.
