Integrated and Experiential Learning Outside the Classroom

The Oliverian School Summer Program places emphasis on experiential and integrated learning,
so students will pursue their studies both within and outside the traditional classroom setting.
On campus, this could mean exploring the connection between Dance, Poetry and Art in our English, Dance and Art classes,
or a collaboration between Art and Math classes to create artwork inspired by 3-D design.
Off-campus adventures also play an important role in the Summer Program. Imagine studying English while
experiencing a Shakespearean play at a Renaissance Fair, or gaining new insights into the natural world while visiting
the VINS Nature Center, New England’s leading raptor care and educational facility. Students will gain a new perspective
on history while riding the Conway Scenic Railroad’s steam-powered train, or maybe discover a new appreciation for math
and artistic design while riding a roller-coaster at Six Flags New England.
