Kirk Yeaton has over forty years of experience in the food service industry, including inns, nursing homes, hospitals, owning his own restaurant, etc. He specializes in the fine dining experience, but has enjoyed working in all aspects of the food service industry over the years. He has also worked with students at Mount Prospect Academy and Mountain Valley Treatment Center. On his days off, Kirk works in construction and assists in the kitchen at area high-end restaurants.
In his personal time, Kirk enjoys restoring his cabin on seventeen acres just up the road, watching movies, listening to music, gardening, canning, and practicing wilderness survival.
What do you love most about Oliverian?
What I like most was the ease of transition into the job here at Oliverian; the atmosphere, staff, and students were immediately welcoming and accepting.
What motivates you to work with kids?
I love working with students and educating them about food, healthy living styles, and making good food choices. It can be a challenge, but it is certainly worth it when you can introduce students to a whole new world of culinary cuisine!
