Jennifer Handler

San Diego residents Jennifer and Robert Handler are proud parents of Oliverian graduate, Charles B. Handler, Class of 2020! Charles is pursuing his education at The University of Southern California, Class of 2025 (majoring in linguistics, minoring in screenwriting) and he’s active in his fraternity and many campus affiliations, including Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Charles’ Oliverian experiences continue to enrich and positively impact his daily life; including enjoying friendships of students he met at Oliverian. Jennifer and Robert are equally proud of Charles’ older sister, Alexis pursuing a law degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Law and of Charles’ younger brother Andrew, a soon to be high school graduate, who will be pursuing Aerospace Engineering at The University of Miami’s College of Engineering Class of 2028.

Charles’ unparalleled and transformative experience at Oliverian, prepared him for living his life independently and sparked a special bond between the Handlers and Oli Family! Jennifer looks forward to a continued relationship with Oliverian by serving on the board.

In addition to participation on the Oliverian board, Jennifer is an active member of the USC Trojan League Association San Diego County, helping to fund scholarships and she stays busy designing fashions for her fashion company “J. Handler” Jennifer loves to spend time with family, friends, her dogs and she  can often be spotted walking the hills where she lives or at a Zumba dance class!

Some fun facts about Jennifer include her unexpected casting in 2002 with then baby Charles in a Hershey Chocolate bar T.V. commercial, and then in 2014, Jennifer made another candid T.V. appearance in a Yoplait yogurt taste test.

What do I love most about Oliverian?
“The people! They are genuinely interested in the well-being of the students they serve. Everyone at Oliverian is committed to all students being appreciated for who they are, encouraging them to recognize their self-worth and uniqueness. Oliverian creates a safe and unconditionally loving space for students to embrace who they are, feel connected to one another and discover their purpose and place in the world.”
